Teach Me

Teach Me by Alexandria House My rating: 4 of 5 stars This was an excellent audible listen. Jakobi Diem and Adenrele Ojo are an awesome narration duo. The production spot on. The story once again has me adding yet another "book bae" to my ever-growing list of swoon-worthy heroes. Nadis is a professionally accomplished young woman. Nathan is a former NFL player and single parent who has decided to return to the classroom to continue his education. The story had so many topics to build on i.e. raising children with disabilities, dealing with love after the loss of a partner, family secrets, etc. And I cannot forget the re-appearance of some beloved fan favorites, the McClains, and the Stricklands. If you love, your love with a wee bit of drama and a lot of laughs, pick up Teach Me today. You won't be disappointed.  View all my reviews

My Heart is Your Secret

My Heart is Your Secret by Chelsea Maria My rating: 4 of 5 stars This story had it all for me. There was love, humor, character chemistry and romance all wrapped into a well-executed story. I will be honest and say that it took me a few chapters to get into it, but that was just me being impatient. :) However, once it picked up I was all in. Great job! View all my reviews

Vexed by Honey My rating: 5 of 5 stars This book was good and long. Tamara Thompson did a great job of narrating the story. The ins and outs of all the different relationships added layers to the story that I didn't expect. I kept thinking Zachary just let J go. She had such an evil spirit no matter what. Vengeance will take you down a dark dark road that leads to self-destruction. One of my favorite scenes was when Jill stood up to Zachary and informing him that he will not raise his voice. The scene was superb and the Jamaican accent came across authentic. Great job Honey! kaybeesbookshelf team member Tamara @tblackallday View all my reviews

Not my Child 1 & 2

Not my Child by Lady Lissa My rating: 4 of 5 stars The first word that came to mind was informative. This is a must-read for parents who want to know the signs to look for to possibly stop their child from falling into the same traps that the teens in this tale fell into in this emotional tale. Lady Lissa is too dramatic fiction what Law & Order SVU is to television. The stories are real and told in a way that keeps us coming back for more time after time. Sex trafficking is a serious issue and this author does a great job of bringing awareness. View all my reviews
