                                                                     Book Review
Book 1 (read the review here) ended with an epic death scene that was so descriptive and moving it stuck with me for a few days. The demise of T'Rida's, Jason/ Voorheeze is seething with anger and has the MPD in his sights. What he doesn't know is a young gang is determined to annihilate his gang. Voorheeze's secret struggles are revealed. Betrayals are revealed between a couple, murder, murder and murder.
Again the author hit us with the gritty side of gang life beyond the "money, cars, clothes and hoes".
The story and characters were developed. The pace moved quickly. There was some type of action at every turn. The author did a good job of pulling me into each scene with his attention to detail when it came to describing the characters and scenes.
As far as some of the technical aspects there were issues with sentence flow, missing punctuation and at least one scene that appeared inconsistent with what we were told only a few sentences prior. All in all, this was a solid read and I enjoyed it. My score is due to the issues with the flow and structure. I looked forward to what I assume will be the final book to wrap things up.
One final note- I respect that the author took the time to shout out those who took the time to leave reviews and how their feedback helped shape the sequel. Also, the level of respect he has for his Queen was beautifully displayed. The only thing that could make this series better is employing Mr. Gates to narrate the books, which I hope he does and soon.
